Watermelon Strawberry and Cherry Adult Slushie

Can you believe Sue and I have only posted one other drink recipe on our blog? Crazy, right? (By the way, it's Rhubarb Lemonade which you can check out HERE) Not that we are experts at drink recipes.... far from it.... but we have made a few noteworthy ones that we should share! (My favorite is Sue's lemon drop martini. I will try and convince her to share the recipe!)
This super pretty slushie recipe is Sue's creation as well. We wanted something red & white to celebrate with on Canada Day and you you just can't get much redder than watermelon, strawberries, and cherries. Add a little white sugar on the rim and *voila* perfect Canada Day refreshment (for adults only, of course!)

Watermelon Strawberry and Cherry Adult Slushie

Ingredients
1 cup watermelon, cubed & frozen
1 cup strawberries, hulled
1 cup cherries, pitted
3 - 5 cups ice cubes
1/3 cup tequila
1/3 cup vodka
1/4 cup orange juice

For Rim
1/2 a lime
sugar

Directions
Cut the lime into 4 wedges. Run a lime wedge around a margarita/martini glass rim and then dip the rim in the white sugar. Set aside. Repeat with 3 remaining wedges.
In a blender, place all of the ingredients (start with 3 cups of ice) and process until smooth.

You may need to add more ice to get a good slushie consistency.
Pour into prepared margarita/martini glasses.

Serve immediately.
You can also put the slice of lime or a cherry or strawberry on the rim of the glass for decoration.

We created these for Canada Day but they go great all summer long!
