Curried Tuna Melt

Sometimes food ideas pop into my head and I think "where the heck did that come from?".
For example... I was craving tuna and was debating making a sandwich when all of a sudden
*Kapow*
Curry pops into my head.
Initially I was like..ewww...nopitty nope nope.
But then it just started sounding better and better.
I decided to go for it.
Yeah.
My brain knows what it's talking about even if I don't.
Curry + tuna = most fabulous tuna melt ever. Throw in some pea and *Bazinga* new favorite sandwich right there.

Curried Tuna Melt

Ingredients
1/4 cup onion, diced fine
1 clove garlic, minced
1 can tuna
1 tsp curry powder
1/4 tsp cumin
salt & pepper
1 - 2 Tbsp mayo
1/3 cup frozen peas, thawed
1 Naan bread
2 rounds Provolone cheese

Directions
Preheat oven to 350. Line a cookie tray with parchment paper, set aside.
In a mixing bowl, using a fork, mash together the onion, garlic, tuna, spices, and mayo.

When well mixed, gently stir in the peas.

Place Naan bread onto prepared cookie sheet. Top with tuna mixture.

Top with the Provolone.

Bake at 350 until cheese is all melty, about 15 or so minutes.

Cut in half and serve hot.

I know I tend to carry on when I like a recipe.
I can't help it.
Delicious things make me happy and I want to share them and hopefully make others happy.
This made me very happy.
*insert cheesy grin here*
Even our dad, who is a man of few words, said, "You can make that for me anytime."
*gasp*
It must be good.
Dad said so.
