Asian Inspired Lettuce Wraps

So Jo and I have decided that we will be doing our best to only share healthy recipes for the month of January. We are both on the resolution band wagon and need all the help we can get.
Of course, we do have some birthdays to celebrate this month so we may slip and post a decadent treat or two. But, that's it, we promise.
I am starting the year off by sharing one of my favorite recipes of all times. My Asian Inspired Lettuce Wraps. They are so easy and quick to prepare and they taste crazy good.
Even better, according to Myfitnesspal, for 1/4 of the recipe (which is a lot) it is:
200 calories, 19 carbs, 5 fat, and 21 protein.
Nice, right?

Asian Inspired Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients
1 lb extra lean ground turkey
1 medium onion, finely diced
1 can sliced water chestnuts, finely diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 cup Hoisin Sauce
1 large head of lettuce, cored & leaves separated

Directions
In a frying pan, over medium heat, cook and stir the ground turkey for 3 minutes.
Add in the onion, water chestnuts, and garlic.
Continue to cook and stir until turkey is no longer pink and onions are softened.
Stir in the hoisin sauce and cook for about 1 more minute.
Remove from heat and serve hot with the lettuce leaves.

A couple of notes - you can use whatever type of lettuce you like. I did butter lettuce and romaine.
You can add more hoisin sauce if you find it needs more. I wouldn't go more than 1/2 a cup though or it gets way too sweet.
You can make this with ground pork as well but that will change the flavor and the nutritional count.
