Creepy Cheesecake Face

Need a Halloween dessert that will be have everyone talking?
Try this simple yet really cooooooooool cheesecake face.
How simple is it?
Well...you use a store bought, no bake cheesecake mix and a can of cherry pie filling and 1 pink Tootsie roll. That's it.
We first used bought a plastic mask to use when we made our Spa Mask Cheese Ball inspired by Hungry Happenings. We then used the same mask to make our Medusa Cheese Ball for Halloween last year.
We knew we wanted to use the mask again this year. It's just too cool not to.
We decided to try a spooky dessert and came up with this cheesecake face.

Creepy Cheesecake Face

Ingredients
1 no bake cheesecake mix
1 can cherry pie filling
1 Tootsie roll, pink (or Starburst)

Directions
Line a plastic face mask with plastic wrap. Place in a bowl or against something to sturdy it so it won't tip.
Prepare no bake cheesecake mix according to package directions. Spoon mix into prepared mask, pressing into all the little corners and dimples in the mask.

Let chill in fridge for several hours, until totally firm.

When it is firm, invert onto serving platter and carefully peel off the plastic wrap. You can dip your finger in water and smooth out the cheesecake if you want to. We decided to leave it with the cracks as it looked creepier for Halloween.

Using a small spoon, scoop out hollows for the eyes so you can spoon in some cherry pie filling.
Use the remaining pie filling to decorate as you wish.
Microwave the Tootsie roll (or Starburst) for 4 -5 seconds, until pliable. Squish flat and cut out a lip shape using a sharp knife. Place over where lips should be on the face.

That wasn't too hard, now was it?
I thought it looked like a really creepy, bloody porcelain doll face. We ended up putting the rest of the pie filling totally around the face when we were ready to eat dessert. Just so everyone got some cherries with their piece.

This is one of those dishes that really stands out on the table. It will certainly have your guests talking!
